Thanks for your replies. I too feel it is up to us, with opinions and outlets like independent news sources and blogs to get the word out about the injustices that occur everyday.

PREACH!!!!!!!!!! I read about that attack in Brooklyn. They definitely should have been reported on! This type of stuff makes me so angry but, we already know how the media is. I’m am really beyond and over expecting others to do stuff for us. I’m the type that believes in doing it ourselves. It’s up to you and I, and other bloggers to use our voices and outlets. Wow, great post. Yeah the difference in coverage of the Black and White LGBT communities mirrors the difference that we see in coverage by the msm of Black and White America in general.

Thanks for writing this, I have not heard about most of the incidents you mention.

We really need our own media. And thank God for blogs!
